Employment Challenges

Some people choose in their employment to serve in a job that others do not want, because they know the need to serve. Other people do not choose to do what they are stuck doing, but when they are unable to find employment that they enjoy, they work doggedly day after day at a job they hate, just because they know that it is their responsibility to do so.

Husbands who support a family through tough times, and work at anything they can that is honorable, no matter how menial. Single parents who work at any job they can get to keep food on the table. Mothers who pick up the slack even though they'd rather they did not have to, and teens who work an after school job to buy their own clothes and other necessities to take some of the burden off of financially challenged parents.

The best planning cannot always avoid employment challenges. Layoffs happen. Unfair termination of employment occurs. And businesses close down. Economic crises strike nations, and widespread hardships come. We cope with them when they do if we have the character to do so.
