There are amazing stories on both sides of the adoption issue. The parents who face an increasingly difficult process to qualify to adopt, and the parents who face the heartbreaking choice of giving up their child for someone else to raise. Not all adoption stories are pleasant ones. We're talking about the choice to give a child a more stable family than they would have otherwise. People who choose the hard choice that benefits the child, and who keep the needs of children as their priority. I've associated with many adoptive parents. Many have sought out children with special needs. Others have adopted for other reasons. Invariably, they have faced great challenges to give a home and family to a child. The vast majority of adoptive parents are good parents, who do their utmost to raise the children with whom they have been entrusted.
